To The Graduate

Recently a group of young men and women graduated high school here in the town where I live.  As I watched and listened to each name get read off, and each graduate receive their diploma, I was proud.  Proud of one of those young men.
David, the last four years I've known you, and been proud to call my self a part of your family, I have watched you grow. From the 13 year old boy break dancing on the floor at youth group, to an admirable young man with the world at his fingertips.   I have witnessed times of great happiness, and times of painful struggle. Times of sorrow, and times of hardship for you.  But most of all, I have seen them help you grow to the amazing young man that are today.  I am proud of the amazing roll model you have become for your nephews.  They all look up to you!   When I see you with them it warms my heart, and I know that Flor would be proud of all you have taught them.  I know God has an incredible plan for your life.  I'm thankful that he has been able to use you already as a positive influence in the lives of those around you.  I'm grateful to be one of your sisters, (and you favorite sister in law?lol) :-) As you go off to collage always remember that I am praying for you.  That God is always with you.  Follow the light, for God is the truth, the way and the light.
Here's to you, who you are and what you will become!

P.S.  How the Hecks did you get so tall???  lol
