Simplicity is something I am really trying to hang onto, and build my day around. There is so much chaos in my life, where people, and circumstance seem to try to complicate things to the max. So as I was sitting out side watching, and taking pictures of the kids today, I was reminded that maybe today is the day to keep it simple. Simple as in: Lets just stay home and play out side, drink iced coffee, and eat mac&cheese for lunch. Lets try to forget about my phone going off, and read books together instead. Lets draw pictures for Grammy and forget we have a TV, that if I turn on we will only watch for 3 minutes anyway because our attention span is highly too short. I think that me trying to keep it simple, is about trying to forget the chaos around me, and just focus on my Children, and enjoy them. They will only be this small once, I want to make sure I get my fill of it. I don't want to miss a single moment.
Yesterday Lexi started saying Mama and Popy. It was the sweetest thing for that day, and it made my heart melt. My little 15 month old knows my name, and her Popy's name. That she started saying them both on the same day was so sweet. I love how she a checkers have their own little clique. He follows her everywhere, an she snuggles him every chance she gets. Last week I gave her a sucker, and she was on the couch with it, next thing I know her hands and face are covered in dog hair, and the sucker is stuck to checker back, because snuggles are more fun that a sucker. :-) Made me smile and laugh and then of course run her to the sink for a clean up. YUCKY! :-)
Danny Loves Dandelions. He has the beginnings of a true gentleman always bringing me flowers he finds and asking me to put them in my hair. He loves to blow the seeds off the dandelions and watch them float. It is beautiful to me to see that my kids find beauty in the simple things in life. He loves to run around the yard with his arms spread out, being an Airplane or crawl around the yard going "beep beep" being a Machine. Two years ago he was my little baby, now he is my little boy growing like a weed.
That's all for now. Hope you enjoyed the pictures!
