Social Media: the Alter Reality.

I know it has been a while since I blogged. I have had a tough week but tomorrow is Friday, and that has my spirits up.  

    lately I have been thinking a lot about social media.  I have been thinking about the impact it has had on our generation.   I'm not against social media.  I have Instagram and Snap chat.  I did ditch Facebook a little over a year ago, and I'm never going back.  To me social media is not the way to get to know someone.  It is a good way to get to know what someone wants you to think about them, however not the real them.  Authenticity is something that is rear and hard to come by in a person.  Not something you will find on social media. Yes there are hashtags we put when we occasionally put a picture of our messy room on the internet. but most of the selfies take us an hour to get ready for and maybe 50 shots before we get one internet worthy.  I am a down to earth kind of person.  I prefer the real you over the face book you.  I would way rather invite someone to coffee than stock them on face book to "get to know them".    I'm not so into social media stocking.  Actually I think its kinda creepy.  I would rather some one just call me up, ask to get together then they to get to know me from my social media profiles.  So shoot me a comment and lets meet! :-)
