Calm in the Crazy

Hey!!!
So lately I have so been trying to become more calm...or calmer....(not sure which of those is actually correct.).  Life is crazy.  Especially with 2 littles a 60 lb puppy and and a grumpy old man dog living in a 35 foot camper. It just is.  And me, I'm loving every second of it. But that does not mean I'm always calm.  Some times I compare my self to the Jewish man in the children's book "It Could Always Be Worse".  Thankfully I don't have a cow or chickens, nor do I have a Rabbi telling me to include those to my household.  No,  I have found other ways to be calm and keep things calm in my little house.
#1.  Have a distraction.  That's right sometimes I have to find something to distract my kids from the dogs tails or each others necks,  or my neck...  Movies are in nice, but I'm trying hard to cut back on screen time, so we started having mini dance party's.  I found these Bible story books including Christian silly song CDs at dollar tree.   (Score book and CD for 1$)  the kids will literally freestyle to an entire CD before they need a new activity.  We also color or I give out stickers for their sticker wall in their room.
#2 just don't have a plan that's set in stone. Aka WING IT.  Really though, if you plan to wing it, you have way more fun and are way more relaxed to deal with the tail pulling than if you have a certain plan for every day.    And yes tail pulling is a big issue in our house,  some times I wish my littles had monky tails just so they would know how it feels to be drug half way across the house by your tail.
#3 Make time to revive yourself.  My Mornings at the gym give me time to focus and pretty much give me that pataince to deal with each day.  If I don't get that me and God time.  Yes, I actually have quet time at the gym (sometimes hidding in the bath or locker rooms for a while).  With out that time to focus, I am a wreck.
#4 STAY POSITIVE!!!!  Keeping a positive out look on life so helps me be kind and nice to everyone around me.
Those are my 4 best ways to stay calm in my crazy life.
 What helps you stay calm?

Xoxo
Trina
